Mauerlat logs are drilled for each strengthening bolt, and the beam sits on the bolts along the entire roof perimeter. In addition to the bolt connection, the longitudinal beams of the Mauerlat is strengthened with the transverse beams of the cut locks of the paws, which are cut out on the lower and upper beam.
