You can beat the boards with ordinary nails, but for these purposes it is better to screw with self -tapping screws intended for wood.
Such a self -tapping screw is not twisted back, but the nails can eventually lick the surface of the board behind the very surface, as well as fixing the boards with a self -tapping screw more strongly than the mounting of the board with a regular nail.
